Job Description
- Initiates automotive services and repairs by identifying performance issues and requested services.
- Verifies warranty coverage, prepares estimates, writes repair orders, and maintains customer relationships.
- Identifies automotive problems by listening to customer descriptions, conducting inspections, and checking maintenance records.
- Develops cost estimates for materials, supplies, and labor.
- Calculates customer payments, including deductibles.
- Prepares repair orders with detailed descriptions of problems, causes, repairs, and services required.
- Obtains approval signatures and enters orders into the database system.
- Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates, answering questions, and arranging transportation.
- Records automotive issues and planned corrective actions.
- Stays updated on automotive trends through education and publications.
- Enhances company reputation by meeting customer needs and exploring opportunities for improvement.
