Job Description

Y Hotels and Resorts Group Inc., a company engaged in the establishment, operation, and management of lodging and dining places, is currently in need of a Baker Assistant. The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including creating breads and dessert menus and managing baking ingredient inventories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop new and existing pastry recipes and determine food presentation and decorations.
• Regularly review product quality and seek ways to improve pastry lineups.
• Seek ways to cut wastages and contribute to the decrease of operational costs without compromising the quality of food, beverage, and service.
• Check quality and freshness of pastry ingredients.
• Assist in recording and maintaining inventory stock, including food and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure uniform portioning and quality of pastry lines in line with standard procedures.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
• Participate in kitchen-cleaning side work and inventory days as directed.
• Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have a Culinary Arts Degree / Hotel & Restaurant Management Degree or equivalent working experience.
• At least 6 months to a year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Excellent time management and knowledge of the industry’s best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From Php610.00 per day

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• 13th-month salary
