Job Description
The general function of the Internal Auditor is to verify the accuracy of the school’s financial internal records and checks them for whatever mismanagement, waste, and fraud.
Specifically, he/she:
- Examines and evaluates the school’s financial and information systems, management procedures, and internal controls to ensure that records are accurate and controls are adequate to protect the school against fraud and waste.
- Reviews the school’s financial operations.
- Evaluates the school’s efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures, laws, and government regulations on financial matters.
- Makes random checks on business transactions and accounting procedures of the school including those of its different units.
- Submits a periodic report and recommendations to the President.
- Performs such other functions as may be delegated to him or directed by the President.
