Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team in the Accounts Payable department. As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions.
In this role, you will review and verify invoices, reconcile vendor statements, process employee expense reports, and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise in the payment process. Your strong attention to detail will be critical in maintaining the accuracy of financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Prepare and perform reconciliations of vendor statements
- Handle inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment issues and discrepancies
- Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions
Your qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
