Job Description

Provides overall supervision to the Accounting Staff in the daily operations of Accounting functions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations). He/she shall be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Preparation of periodic financial statements and corporate annual report.
• Review budget reports and assist other departments in preparing the annual budget.
• Meet financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, performing account reconciliations, and implementing corrective actions.
• Participate in tax audits and payroll processes.

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant
• Proven work experience in a supervisory capacity in an industrial engineering and/or manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and Accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
• Knowledgeable of BIR requirements; knowledge of PEZA requirements is an advantage but not highly required.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with large databases.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly MS Excel, and knowledge of Accounting systems like Quickbooks Enterprise is an advantage.
• Possess a high level of integrity and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
