Job Description
An Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for handling all aspects of a company’s accounts payable process. They perform essential tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payments to vendors and suppliers.
Key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Clerk include:
- Verifying and reconciling invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Entering invoice details into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Resolving discrepancies or issues related to invoices, payments, or vendor accounts.
- Processing and scheduling payments to ensure timely and accurate disbursements.
- Maintaining organized records of invoices, payments, and other relevant documents.
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in an accounting or finance position.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
