Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist at Abbott Laboratories is responsible for managing expenses, analyzing invoices and expense reports, resolving discrepancies, and charging expenses to accounts. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of accounts payable best practices and relevant experience. Duties include collaborating with internal departments, processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and participating in special projects such as Esker automation and testing.
- Resolve common exceptions issues of invoices
- Reconcile external vendor statements
- Build & maintain cooperative relationships
- Participate in special projects
- Assist with month-end close process
- Monitor compliance to company policies
- Back up for AP Associate & Senior Support Specialist
- Protect organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality
