Job Description
An Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing the financial information related to a company’s accounts receivable activities. They play a vital role in ensuring efficient cash flow management and minimizing the risk of bad debt. The primary responsibilities of an Accounts Receivable Analyst include:
- Reviewing and analyzing customer accounts to ensure timely payment and adherence to credit terms.
- Preparing and sending invoices to customers accurately and promptly.
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to payments or outstanding balances.
- Monitoring and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection and minimize bad debt.
- Collaborating with sales and customer service teams to address any customer concerns or disputes.
To excel in this role, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software are essential. The ideal candidate should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
