Job Description
About Japan Home Centre
Japan Home Centre is the first and only Japanese discount store in the country. It has grown to become the largest and number one Japanese lifestyle retail chain in the country, with over 200 branches nationwide.
Job Functions:
- Responsible for planning, managing, selecting, and purchasing merchandise from suppliers, whether local or foreign.
- Initiates and implements the development and sourcing of house brands or specialty brands.
- Establishes and implements selection processes and reordering systems.
- Ensures that stocks are delivered from suppliers to the warehouse, then from the warehouse to the store timely and accurately.
- Reviews existing store’s product offerings in the assigned department.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any four-year business-related courses. Retail courses are an advantage but not required.
- At least two years of experience in Retail Merchandising, handling modern trade or store chain is a MUST.
- Strong background in category and vendor management, with expertise in negotiation and assortment planning.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Open Office.
- Background in Non-Food is an advantage, both outright and concessionaire/consignment.
- Willing to work in Panay Ave. QC.
- Can start ASAP.
Job Types:
