Job Description

The Information Security Officer (ISO) is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive information security program, which includes policies and procedures designed to protect the Association’s information technology assets, customer information, intellectual property, and other information-related assets and processes from both internal and external threats. Manages the day-to-day operations of the information security department, including security incident response, security awareness training, and risk management. Identifies vulnerabilities and works with IT Operations to resolve them to ensure network and data security.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science field, or equivalent
• Detail-oriented, task-driven, with excellent communication skills
• Experience in Data Privacy Act of 2012 IRR and operations
• Experience in an information security role
• Solid knowledge of various information security frameworks
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to educate a non-technical audience about security measures
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze legislative requirements and relate them to organizational practices
• Knowledge of information risk analysis and risk management
