Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Properly store and dispose of food
- Ensure health and sanitation standards are in compliance with regulations
- Assist culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe
- Assist in training new kitchen staff team members
- Assist culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe, garnishing and plating of dishes
- Assist the kitchen team in preparing dishes to recipe
- Help clean and organize the kitchen
- Knowledgeable of scheduling and food inventory on a daily basis
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have Food Handler Certificate
- At least 5 years’ work experience as Asst. Chef in a Chinese Restaurant
- At least 3 years’ work experience with food preparation including cooking and plating meals
- Knowledgeable of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to communicate, listen, and execute effectively
- Work harmoniously with other employees and develop/maintain good employee relations
- Work with integrity in all interactions
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed
- Appropriate attitude and mindset for a fast-paced environment
