Job Description
Job Summary: Responsible for ordering merchandise for the store and monitoring merchandise consumption.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compute the Open to Buy per season.
- Monitor and ensure that the given Open to Buy (OTB) is met and consumed.
- Prepare Merchandise plan/Buying plan within the allocated budget.
- Review product sales performance and inventory for future ordering reference.
- Set final pricing of merchandise based on cost, mark-up, budget, and profit.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Department for merchandise inspection and deliveries.
- Conduct regular store visits to check stock sufficiency, movement, and marketability.
- Analyze stock position and ensure proper distribution.
- Monitor stock status and movement within the specified ratio.
- Recommend actions to be taken on defective stocks.
- Review and prepare markdown or discounts for slow-moving merchandise.
- Study and analyze product performance upon delivery for developmental reference.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any four-year business-related course or Fashion Merchandising.
- At least one year of work experience, preferably in the same or related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical and results-oriented mindset.
- Good fashion sense and knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and computer literate.
