Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming meat products according to safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and portion meat products using proper cutting techniques and equipment.
- Ensure that all meat products are trimmed, sliced, and packaged accurately and efficiently to meet customer specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, and tools to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering meat products as needed to maintain sufficient stock.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter, preferably in a retail or commercial setting.
- Knowledge of various meat cuts, processing techniques, and safety protocols.
- Ability to use and maintain meat processing equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
