Job Description
A Collection Officer is responsible for managing overdue accounts and collecting outstanding debts from clients. The main duties include contacting debtors to negotiate payment plans, documenting discussions and payment arrangements, and updating account information. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
Other key responsibilities include analyzing delinquent accounts, sending reminders to customers about due payments, and following up on payment agreements. Attention to detail and a firm but professional approach are important traits for a successful Collection Officer.
