Job Description

Job Title: Creative/Design Team Lead (Part-Time, Freelance Contractor)

Location: Remote (Permanent work-from-home setup)

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Compensation: $12/hr

Shift: Night shifts with fixed weekends off

Engagement Type: Freelance contract (Long-term engagement)

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative individual to join our team as a Creative/Design Team Lead. This part-time freelance position involves working closely with one of our clients to lead the creative development process, manage content, and strategize innovative marketing materials. The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with a design assistant and other team members, providing expert guidance on visual imagery and engaging in both creative and sales writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Development: Take ownership of the creative development process, working directly with the design assistant to ensure a steady stream of innovative marketing materials.
  • Visual Guidance: Provide expert guidance on imagery needed to complement copywriting, ensuring alignment with branding and marketing objectives.
  • Content Creation: Engage in both creative and sales writing to produce compelling content that enhances marketing efforts.
  • Design Collaboration: Leverage your strong visual design/art background to collaborate closely with the design assistant and other team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance checks on creative assets to ensure high-quality output.
  • Innovation: Constantly seek new ways to improve overall marketing programs through the latest technology, tools, trends, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in a marketing or creative role, preferably in an advertising agency, marketing company, or client-side marketing department.
  • Writing Skills: Strong creative writing and sales writing skills.
  • Independence: Proven ability to take ownership of the creative development process and work independently.
  • Visual Guidance: Experience providing guidance on visual imagery to complement copywriting.
  • Design Background: Strong visual design/art background.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Premier Pro, Figma, and WebFlow.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with design assistants and other team members.
  • Innovation: Ability to constantly seek new ways to improve marketing programs through the latest technology, tools, trends, and best practices.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-changing environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to provide expert guidance on visual content.
