Job Description
As a Credit and Collection Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the credit and collection department of our organization. Your main objective will be to ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices, minimize bad debts, and maintain a healthy cash flow.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing credit and collection policies and procedures
- Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers
- Reviewing and monitoring credit limits and terms
- Working closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues
- Analyzing and reporting on delinquent accounts
- Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers
- Conducting credit checks and investigations on customers
- Managing a team of credit and collection analysts
To excel in this role, you should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and in-depth knowledge of credit and collection practices. Previous experience in a similar role and a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is preferred.
