Job Description
1. Receiving of Returned Checks from Treasury/Accounting:
a. Receive returned checks from Treasury/Accounting in a timely and organized manner.
b. Ensure accuracy in the documentation and record-keeping of received returned checks.
2. Encoding of Returned Checks to the Master File:
c. Accurately encode returned checks information into the master file to maintain up-to-date records.
d. Conduct regular checks to identify and rectify any discrepancies in the encoding process.
3. Client Communication and Follow-ups:
e. Inform clients about returned checks promptly and professionally.
f. Maintain a system for efficient follow-ups on returned checks, including encoding relevant remarks.
4. Proof of Payment Handling (Redeposit Checks):
g. Responsible for sending proof of payment for direct deposit (redeposit checks).
h. Receive and accurately encode the bank’s copy of redeposited checks into the master file.
5. Daily Task – Returned Checks (RC):
i. Receive returned checks daily and update records accordingly.
j. Categorize return checks with appropriate remarks for weekly batch processing.
