Job Description
The roles and responsibilities of a delivery coordinator focus primarily on the function of delivering products according to customer orders and deadlines. They use data processing applications to review orders, check for accuracy, pack or process orders, and ensure timely delivery. Depending on the organization and the role, you may also communicate with customers about product operation and provide occasional customer service. Here are some additional job duties:
- Coordinate and direct customer orders
- Respond to delivery-related or product-related inquiries as needed
- Schedule deliveries and prepare shipping paperwork
- Provide customer service support or training
- Track order deliveries and notify customers of any shipment delays
- Ensure the proper packaging and storage of products to prevent damage and product loss
- Communicate with clients to confirm order specifics, payments, or delivery addresses
- Understand organizational logistics for efficient order fulfillment
