Job Description
A delivery helper is responsible for assisting delivery drivers in transporting goods and packages to customers efficiently and safely. The main role involves loading and unloading items from delivery vehicles, ensuring they are properly secured during transportation, and carefully handling fragile or hazardous materials.
This position requires physical stamina, as delivery helpers often need to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions. The ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and communicate effectively are essential skills for this job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist delivery drivers in loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
- Ensure packages are properly secured and organized for transportation.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the driver.
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the driver.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering items in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
- Valid driver’s license (optional, but advantageous).
