Job Description
An estimator is responsible for evaluating the costs and resources required for a project. They analyze project drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents to estimate the materials, labor, and equipment needed. Estimators also collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate cost estimates.
Estimators should have excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of construction processes. They should be detail-oriented and able to work effectively under deadlines. Additionally, good communication and negotiation skills are essential for establishing relationships with stakeholders and resolving any discrepancies in cost estimates.
