Job Description
A. Management:
- Reports to BOD the results of compliance testing, AMLA reports, regulatory issued circulars/memoranda, incoming and outgoing correspondences, etc.
- Presents to Excom if applicable the requested report/s for their guidance.
- Conducts AMLA training
B. Operation:
- Oversees and coordinates the implementation of the Compliance system of the Bank.
- Administer compliance program.
- Identifies, monitors, and controls compliance risk.
- Determines compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and established bank policies and practices.
- Consults with the regulatory agencies for clarifications of specific provisions of laws and regulations and any compliance-related issues.
- Prepares all necessary reports required by the regulatory agencies and ensures timely submission of the same.
- Initiates dialogues with regulatory authorities as needed.
- Trains officers and employees on regulatory requirements and seculars released by the regulatory agencies.
- Participates or leads own functional or business unit identifying, assessing, and measuring risks that would prevent meeting set objectives.
- Interviews internal and external customers periodically as needed and directed.
- Conducts unannounced surveys, inspections, compliance testing, audits, and investigations periodically to assess personnel readiness and to specifically identify where corrective actions are needed.
- Re-evaluates areas of previously noted deficiencies to identify needed improvements.
