Job Description
The Fixed Asset Custodian is responsible for managing and safeguarding the company’s fixed assets. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular physical audits to verify the location and condition of fixed assets
- Maintaining accurate records of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers of fixed assets
- Preparing depreciation schedules and reconciling them with financial statements
- Coordinating with various departments to update the asset register and ensure accurate asset data
- Assisting with the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures
The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting or a related field, along with experience in fixed asset management. Proficiency in asset management software and strong analytical skills are also essential.
