Job Description
A General Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and be proficient in accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
