Job Description
As a Healthcare Collection Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate collection of payment within the healthcare industry. You will be responsible for contacting patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of outstanding accounts receivable.
Your main duties will include reviewing and analyzing patient accounts, verifying insurance information, and educating patients on their financial obligations. You will negotiate payment plans, process payments, and coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve any billing disputes.
To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently. A solid understanding of medical billing and coding procedures is essential, along with the ability to navigate multiple software systems.
