Job Description
As a Home Health Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient coding of medical records for home health services. Your responsibility will be to review and analyze medical records, assigning appropriate codes based on diagnosis and treatment provided.
You will work closely with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to understand the specifics of each patient’s condition and treatment plan. It will be essential to stay updated with the latest coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance and accurate coding.
Key qualifications for this position include a strong understanding of medical coding systems such as ICD-10-CM and CPT, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Previous experience as a medical coder, particularly in the home health field, is highly desirable.
