Job Description
The IBM DB2 Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s DB2 databases. This role involves installing, configuring, and upgrading DB2 software, as well as monitoring and optimizing database performance.
Key tasks include database design, backup and recovery, security implementation, and troubleshooting any database-related issues. The DB2 Administrator also plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity, availability, and disaster recovery planning.
Proficiency in DB2 database administration, SQL querying, and knowledge of database performance tuning are essential requirements for this position.
