Job Description
Position: Island General Manager
Company: Manhattan Group
Suitable for candidates who are currently a number 2 or hold a General Manager position.
Must have prerequisite Island experiences in either the Indian Ocean or Southeast Asia.
- Manage an 80-room property with 3 F&B outlets located just off the coast of Cambodia.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the island resort operations, including accommodation, dining, and recreational facilities.
- Foster a culture of excellence and teamwork among staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Implement sustainable practices to preserve the island’s natural beauty and support ecotourism initiatives.
- Ideal for single or married status applicants without children.
- Seeking candidates who can relate to and develop the local workforce.
- Set and maintain the highest standards of guest service.
- Collaborate with local communities to promote cultural exchange and responsible tourism.
- Develop strategic plans and budgets to optimise revenue and profitability while maintaining cost controls.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to department heads and staff to facilitate professional growth and career advancement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the resort’s offerings and services.
- Embrace the unique challenges and rewards of island living while contributing to the success of the resort.
