Job Description
An IT Asset Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating the lifecycle of the organization’s IT assets. This includes overseeing hardware and software inventory, tracking equipment deployment and disposal, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of IT asset management best practices. The IT Asset Administrator will work closely with other IT teams to gather and maintain accurate asset information, perform regular audits, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the inventory of IT hardware and software assets
- Track asset allocation, including user assignments and locations
- Maintain accurate records of equipment procurement and disposal
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements
- Perform periodic audits to verify asset inventory
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance asset management procedures
