Job Description
The IT Support Staff position provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. The primary responsibilities include troubleshooting problems, documenting incidents, and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users are crucial for this role. The IT Support Staff must be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess good problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to queries and providing technical assistance to end users promptly and professionally
- Troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Installing and configuring computer systems and software
- Documenting, tracking, and monitoring incidents through the ticketing system
- Collaborating with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience in providing IT support or technical assistance
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and hardware components
- Proficient in troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Good understanding of operating systems, such as Windows and Mac OS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
