Job Description
Responsible in sourcing, ordering and delivery of all imported items and local raw materials and packaging with the right quality, best price and on time. Gives updates if there are current changes in government importation requirements and documentation. Coordinates with end users/requisitioning departments regarding specifications and details of purchasing requirements. Handles efficient sourcing and procurement of imported items and local raw materials and packaging for the affiliates. Recommends the best price, terms, and source. Prepares purchase orders and other necessary documents for imported materials. Coordinates with Finance/Accounting and banks on required documentations. Monitors timely shipment and delivery of orders. Submits to government agencies required importation documents and secures permits to import and transport to plant. Implements supplier sourcing, evaluation and accreditation procedures; recommends to superior course of actions whenever necessary. Handles special projects as maybe assigned by immediate superior.
