Job Description
In this role, you will be:
- Providing daily support to Underwriting and managing all underwriting transactions, service standards, agency relationships, documentation, and reports.
- Building and demonstrating knowledge of underwriting systems, workflows, compliance rules, lines of business, and coverages to support underwriting functions.
- Reviews loan application documents for completeness and identifies deficiencies.
- Evaluates the financial status and creditworthiness of customers.
- Renders loan recommendation, approval or rejection based on credit guidelines, bank standards, and sound underwriting decisions.
- Monitors trends and other analyses that could impact the loan portfolio.
- Interpreting written and verbal instructions from Underwriting and effectively communicating the decision-making process to ensure all transaction types are handled accurately.
- Make the final underwriting decision to approve or reject a docket.
- Validating the eligibility of the company to take a loan.
