Job Description
PROJECT TITLE: Advancing Client-centered Care and Expanding Sustainable Services for Tuberculosis (ACCESS-TB)
AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Central Luzon CHD
- At least High School Graduate
- Training on Biosafety 101 is an advantage
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform regular clean-up in the laboratory, media prep room, and sterilization area. Provides administrative and logistical support to Laboratory Services Section – Ancillary Unit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the production of culture media and laboratory reagents.
- Performs proper labeling and packaging of culture media / reagents produced.
- Performs washing and proper storage of eggs for culture media.
- Washes and sterilizes test tubes and other laboratory glassware and materials.
- Performs sterilization of washed glassware and test tubes.
- Monitors and logs the temperature of various laboratory equipment.
- Conducts an inventory of laboratory-prepared media and reagents, as well as other laboratory supplies.
- Ensures proper storage of laboratory-prepared media and reagents.
- Performs and documents daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory equipment preventive maintenance.
- Autoclaves and disposes of laboratory wastes accordingly.
- Prepares LJ media for DST processing.
- Maintains compliance with ISO 15189 and 9001 standards and biosafety protocols in the workplace.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor and/or management.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Php12,00.00 – Php16,00.00 per month
