Does (The tasks / responsibilities that the role performs to address requirements in Key Result Areas)

• Provide strategic and tactical guidance on data solutions including data modeling, data flow design and data technology end-to-end landscape of the organization.
• Establish, maintain and enforce enterprise level data models, if needed, to ensure integration of models on systems and data platforms.
• Develop and maintain thorough documentation of underlying data and data products, provide guidance on maximizing use of data, and become the main consultant for information value chain analysis of the organization.
• Align data architecture initiatives with data management and security practices and be an ambassador of data governance across the organization.
• Work closely with the Enterprise Architects (Application, Infrastructure, Innovations) to create and maintain IT-wide architecture standards on systems and data flows.
• Guide analytics teams on enabling proper analytical solutions such as dashboarding, reporting, self-service platforms for data democratization.

• Intermediate level knowledge, design principles, and experience in data modeling and database design, both on relational and big data applications.
• Solid experience of OLAP/OLTP databases/data warehousing/data lake implementations, ETL/ELT and advanced scripting languages for data engineering (Python, Java, Spark, Shell, Kafka, etc.).
• Understanding of data warehouse and business intelligence design, development and delivery principles and industry practices (OLAP, OLTP, ETL/ELT, data analytics.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, essential for business engagements and strategy/architecture council cadences

Delivers (The specific outputs / tangible results produced by the role; resources responsible for)

• Create and maintain the enterprise level data models
• Introduce information value chain analysis for understanding the CRUD of data across systems
• Create and maintain data tech stack landscape, from source system, to ingestion, to processing, to analysis and output/usage stage
• Documentation of best practice, data delivery processes, and data modeling/design activities for software and data engineers’ reference
• Create and monitor the data roadmap for data architecture

QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum requirements in terms of experience and background, skills and competencies for sourcing purposes)

• 3-5 years experience in data architecture or a related field -> data modeling and database design, either on relational and/or big data, and providing data designing, data structuring, or data solutioning
• Minimum of 3 years of solid experience of OLAP/OLTP databases/data warehousing/data lake implementations
• Knowledge in SQL, and advanced scripting languages for data engineering (Python, Java, Spark, Shell, Kafka, etc.) is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc. Experience on AliCloud is a big plus.
• Knowledge and experience in banking / fintech/ financial services industry data is a big plus
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
