Job Description
The Loan Officer will play a crucial role in reviewing credit requests, generating credit write-ups, analyzing financial capacity, assisting in credit recommendations, and ensuring compliance of loans with the bank’s credit policy. Receive and interpret reports from internal/external credit investigators.
Day-to-day Activities:
- Evaluating the creditworthiness and credit risk of potential borrowers.
- Packing loan products to match the bank’s guidelines and the borrower’s needs.
- Recommending action points on loan applications based on internal credit risk policies.
- Evaluate loan applications and assess applicants’ financial status, credit history, and eligibility for various loan products.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of loan applications and associated documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on market trends, interest rates, and competitive loan products to offer informed recommendations to clients.
- Adhere to banking regulations, internal policies, and compliance standards throughout the loan processing procedures.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
