Job Description
A Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting the logistics team in organizing and coordinating the movement of goods and materials. This includes tasks such as inventory management, coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate records.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation of shipping documents and ensuring they comply with regulations and standards
- Coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and warehouses to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Monitoring inventory levels and conducting regular stock counts to ensure accuracy
- Keeping track of shipments and updating relevant stakeholders on the status
- Assisting in the resolution of any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the transportation process
The ideal candidate for this position should have strong organizational and communication skills. They must also be detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and have a good understanding of logistics operations and procedures.
