Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Planner to oversee inventories and maintain material resources in alignment with production schedules at Asia Ceramics Corporation. Responsibilities include specifying materials, managing inventory schedules, collaborating with internal teams, and engaging with external stakeholders. The ideal Material Planner ensures a steady supply of cost-effective, high-quality materials to sustain production and product delivery.
Material Planner Responsibilities:
- Determine required materials and create purchase orders.
- Ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards, and cost-efficiency.
- Maintain consistent supply of materials for production.
- Coordinate with departments on production goals, timelines, and supplier interactions.
- Track production volume, monitor customer demands, and purchasing trends.
- Manage material and product supply and delivery.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
- Handle inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
- Prepare cost estimates and reports.
Material Planner Requirements:
- Degree in business, logistics, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in material planning or inventory management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and material management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
