Job Description
As a Medical Billing Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our healthcare facility’s billing department. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing the entire billing process, managing a team of billing specialists, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in medical claims processing.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervising and leading a team of billing specialists to ensure their productivity and adherence to billing regulations and policies.
- Reviewing and verifying medical documentation for completeness and accuracy before submitting claims to insurance companies.
- Monitoring and resolving billing errors or discrepancies, following up on denied claims, and implementing strategies to increase billing efficiency.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies for claim resolution and payment processing.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with billing guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, coding systems, and insurance policies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and maintain positive relationships with healthcare providers and insurance companies.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
