Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for handling the collection process for medical billing. Your main objective will be to ensure the timely and accurate payment from insurance companies, patients, and other third-party payers.
Key responsibilities:
- Reviewing and verifying medical billing claims
- Following up on outstanding payments and resolving any billing discrepancies
- Communicating with insurance companies and patients regarding payment status and disputes
- Updating and maintaining accurate billing records and documentation
In order to succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures. Proficiency in using medical billing software and excellent communication skills are also essential.
