Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Coder with proficiency in NextGen Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding and billing practices in our healthcare organization.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing patient records, assigning appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures, and verifying coding accuracy. You will need to have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Coder, preferably with NextGen EMR/EHR experience
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC) is highly preferred
- Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Familiarity with NextGen EMR/EHR software
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
