Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Collection Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Collection Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to handle the collection of outstanding medical bills and invoices.
You will be responsible for contacting patients and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate payments. Additionally, you will review and investigate unpaid claims, identify billing errors, and resolve any issues that might arise. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with your attention to detail, will be crucial in successfully carrying out your responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in medical collections or a related field
- Proficient in using collection software and various billing systems
- Familiarity with medical billing codes, insurance regulations, and legal requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
