Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Customer Service Specialist to join our team. This position requires exceptional phone etiquette and the ability to handle a heavy volume of incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. As a Medical Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and resolving any inquiries or concerns over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering a high volume of incoming calls and addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Providing accurate information regarding appointment scheduling, medical records, insurance coverage, and billing inquiries.
- Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues by collaborating with internal teams.
- Documenting all customer interactions accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a medical customer service role, preferably handling heavy phone volume.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Proficiency in using customer service software and Microsoft Office suite.
