Job Description
As a Medical Records Auditor at RBH 5100 BL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and compliance in medical record documentation. Your main responsibility will be to review patient records and associated documentation to identify any inconsistencies, errors, or missing information.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and detailed audits of medical records to ensure data integrity
- Verify that all medical records comply with regulatory requirements and coding standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve any documentation deficiencies
- Provide feedback and education to staff on proper medical record documentation practices
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations when handling patient information
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems
