Job Description
A nursing assistant plays a crucial role in providing basic patient care and support in a healthcare setting. As a nursing assistant, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
In addition to personal care, you will be responsible for taking vital signs, monitoring patients’ conditions, and reporting any changes to the nursing staff. You may also assist with transferring patients, maintaining cleanliness in patient rooms, and restocking supplies.
To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work well in a team. Prior experience in a healthcare setting or completion of a nursing assistant certification program is preferred.
