Job Description

Under the general direction of the OB-ULTRASOUND Department Head and Physician-On-Duty. Performs a variety of routine and clerical and ultrasound procedures. Assists doctors and patients in every procedure.

1. Selects equipment (transvaginal or transabdominal) for use in ultrasound setup according to specifications of examination.

2. Explains process and procedures to patient, and instructs and assists patient in assuming physical position for examination.

3. Responsible for care and proper maintenance of the equipment and machines.

4. Monitors, calibrates, and checks if all the machines and equipment are properly intact and complete.

5. Preparing daily accomplished report.

6. Preparing monthly census report.

7. Arranges appointments and patient’s schedule.

8. Arranges doctor’s schedules for the month.

9. Types all correspondence, procedure results, and other paperwork’s assigned.

10. For in-patient, in-charge in proper recording of the procedures done, patient’s data and film used.

11. Assists doctor in the procedures.

In-charge in updating and checking of all materials, supplies, and equipment.

13. Get clean and return soiled linen and pillowcases.

14. Answering telephone calls.
