Job Description
The on-call driver will directly report to the Dispatcher. He will augment for the daily various transport requests of different departments and serve as a replacement for drivers on leave.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives different types of ICRC vehicles (manual or automatic) while strictly following internal security rules and national traffic rules
- Transports people and/or materials safely to their destination
- Reports to the Dispatcher any irregularities noticed in the vehicle, traffic accidents, security incidents, or problems on the road
- Ensures proper refueling and cleaning of vehicles
- Loads and unloads goods on the attributed vehicle
- Assists colleagues with the distribution of materials as required
- Coordinates properly with relevant ICRC staff for movements in difficult security environments
REQUIRED PROFILE
- At least 5 years’ professional driving experience
- High school diploma or college-level education
- Valid professional driver’s license for at least 5 years
- Knowledge of vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
- Awareness of traffic rules and regulations
- Good geographical knowledge of Metro Manila and other nearby provinces.
- Good English comprehension and communication skills
- Awareness of, and respect for, professional and institutional ethics, particularly with respect to confidentiality
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 5 months
Salary: Php1,138.00 per day
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Driver: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Philippines Driver’s License (Required)
