Job Description
Performs necessary assistance to passenger and cargo operations in accordance with airline(s) requirements to ensure safe and secure operations.
ROLE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists passengers using the self-check-in KIOSK
- Provides special handling assistance
- Assists passengers in the event of flight disruption.
- Segregating and directing passengers to the correct processing area
- Assistance in the boarding gate – Sweepers, Queue Management, Baggage Interception, Releasing of Busses, Gate Arrangement of Visual Aids,
- Arrival assistance – Answering baggage queries from passengers.
- Ensures availability of forms needed at the arrival area as required by the Carrier.
- Inspects packaging and acceptability of outgoing cargoes.
- Weighs and measures dimension of outgoing cargoes.
- Ensures that all required documents/permits are provided by the shipper prior acceptance of cargo.
- Assists in ensuring that all handling instructions are well noted and satisfied.
- Checks condition of incoming cargoes and reports any irregularity noted.
- Validates identification of consignee/representative prior release of incoming cargoes.
- Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Cargo Manager, Cargo Supervisor, or Lead Cargo Agent.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2nd-year college, Vocational related courses or Senior High School graduate
- Has a good command of the English language
