Description
The Operations Supervisor, Appeals Writing supports Med-Metrix LLC by overseeing that all denied insurance claims are thoroughly reviewed, and effective appeal letters are drafted and submitted in a timely manner to secure payment on behalf of client hospitals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of appeal writers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Monitor the end-to-end appeals process to ensure thorough review and timely submission of well-supported appeal letters.
- Optimize the appeals workflow for efficiency and maximize successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, client hospitals, and insurance companies to resolve complex denial cases.
- Act as a liaison for clear communication with clients.
- Handle patient information in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse
- Minimum 1 year of relevant supervisory experience
- At least 1 year of Appeal writing experience
