Job Description
Primary responsible in coordinating out-patients for medical services, accurate coding of diagnostic examinations and procedures using appropriate coding rules and issuing of charge slip.
1. Provides general clerical and administrative services for the hospital providing rapid, accurate and courteous verbal communications with the client patients. This includes ensuring customer satisfaction while providing clear and precise instruction and support to all out-patient client patients’ requests.
2. Issues correct and accurate charge slip to client for a procedure to be done
3. Coordinates with ER Department for any unsettled charges for proper endorsement to the Supervisor, Billing Department.
4. Endorses duplicate charge tickets/slip to department concerned for their filing.
5. Reconcile all charges issued before the end of duty to determine that all charges were paid.
6. Proper turn-over of unsettled charges if any, to the incoming encoder.
