Job Description
The Logistics Staff is vital to our operations, overseeing the Request for Quotations (RFQ) process with Forwarders and Courier Service providers. This role involves summarizing and analyzing quotations to recommend the most cost-effective solutions. Additionally, the Logistics Staff will gather shipment forecasts, plan shipments, and provide advice on optimal transport modes to ensure efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue RFQs to trusted Forwarders and Courier Service providers.
- Conduct cost comparisons and endorse the most economical bids.
- Maintain and update the list of Approved Forwarders while coordinating with traffic billing.
- Analyze freight and handling costs to uncover areas for improvement.
Work Hours: Full-time shifts (10 or 12 hours, day or night).
