Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for the position of Podiatry/Orthopedic Medical Biller. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and coding of medical procedures and services related to podiatry and orthopedics.
Key responsibilities:
- Reviewing and verifying patients’ medical records and procedures to ensure proper coding and billing
- Submitting claims to insurance companies and following up on any claim denials or discrepancies
- Generating and sending invoices to patients and collecting payments
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical coding and billing regulations and requirements
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to resolve any coding or billing issues
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures, particularly in the field of podiatry and orthopedics. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for this role. Proficiency in using medical billing software and a good understanding of insurance company reimbursement processes are also required.
